Bangkok Trip Day 2 – Part 3
仕源在一起的日子:第840天
As per promised, here are our couple tees.

Dinner was at T&K Seafood at Chinatown. We took a cab and almost got con by another tuk tuk. Our nice bellboy helped us hail a cab and negotiated the price, but still it’s expensive. Than a tuk tuk driver came along and quoted us 20B to Chinatown, way too cheap and too good to be true! But we still decided to give it a shot.
True enough, he wanted to bring us to somewhere else for dinner.
The childrens’ day story came out again, and he claimed that due to the festive, Chinatown is very jam. We are starting to wonder if this childrens’ day thing is just a hoax.
We took another cab via meter to Chinatown instead. It’s cheap!

The first restaurant we saw was Nam Xing and the 2 places I researched was Nam Xing and T&K. We decided to try finding another one first cuz Darling say the price is kinda high and there isn’t many customers inside.
We stumbled across T&K and it’s so damn crowded!
So I guess T&K is a better choice since it’s packed with the locals and tourists. Whereas Nam Xing is more of AMs. We had birdnest and shark fins at NX though.

Actually we kinda play cheat alittle. I gave this thumbs up sign even before ordering. But luckily the food is indeed good.

The food we ordered:

Funny Faces

After dinner, we took a slow walk around Chinatown. Bought some local products from 林真香. Than we walked back to NX for the birdnest and shark fins.
We all ordered shark fins except for Ben who ordered bird nest. I never like bird nest but shark fins are one of my favorites. I suddenly felt like having 雪蛤 (I don’t think I got it right but it’s pronounced this way) and I tried asking if they sell any. The guy told me yes they do, and when I asked the price, he told me it’s 1kg for 100B. I’m like WAH. So cheap? And than I asked him if 1kg is too much for just 4 of us? That’s when he told it’s just nice and how do I want it cook?
I got more and more confused, than he showed me what is he talking about. It’s clams.
Haha. Luckily I didn’t order.
The bird nest. It’s hot! Though I don’t like bird nest but if I have to drink I will go for the cold one. Haha.

The nice shark fins.
I really love shark fins.

After our shark fins and bird nest feast, we went to Khao San for late night shopping and also immersed ourselves in the nightlife of Bangkok.
Streets of Khao San

It’s not the sleazy streets like Patpong but more of the AMs. The backpackers world. There’s alot of pubs and clubs along the streets and of course shopping!
There’s a few stalls which does dreadlocks or plaids for the tourists too. Been wanting to try but I’m not courageous enough. And I don’t think I will look good with dreadlocks.
Freaking cold night, I had to find a cardigan for myself.
Ben fulfilled his dare with the eating of the worms we found at Patpong.
I think it’s so disgusting loh, I cannot imagine biting into it and the juice. Urgh.
Bought belts, accessories and some tops at Khao San.
Actually I think there’s one thing that the rest always do at BKK that I don’t. Pee and Poo, they can pee and poo at regular intervals, not considering my feelings at all!!! You all know why.
‘Chilling’ out at a pub. Haha.
No liquor though.

We saw nice Jigsaw lamps too. The ones we got in Krabi is still lying somewhere at Darling’s place.
After the drinks we went back to hotel. It’s probably after 1am or 2am?
This is the ‘portrait’ that the artist did for me and Darling. I promised to email him the photos we took at CTC (or rather Darling promised) but it’s not done yet!
